About Us
The GRC Network is a social enterprise for professionals in Governance, Risk, and Compliance within financial services for knowledge sharing, career advancement, and increasing diversity and inclusion in this space.
Our Story
The GRC Network is a young and growing brand founded in 2019 by Roselyn Baah MCSI. The network started during COVID-19 as a resource tool for GRC professionals to send regulatory news to help our members stay ahead of regulatory news. Now the GRC has grown in memberships providing more resources than news updates and organising events to develop our members’ technical and soft skills. Our founder, Roselyn is currently a Compliance Officer (SMF 16) and MLRO (SMF 17) for a London-based asset manager who believes in the power of knowledge sharing and is passionate about empowering those from underrepresented backgrounds within the risk and compliance space, particularly those new to the industry.
Three Pillar Objectives
Our ‘Three Pillar Objectives’ are to Learn, Develop, and Network.
Learn
We provide the platform for our members to learn, share and gain knowledge on regulatory news, thematic issues, new regulation, and market standards.
Develop
We facilitate the development of the technical and soft skills of our members through events and digital resources.
Network
We help to establish a community of GRC professionals from as young as students interested in the industry to those well into their careers and senior leaders.
An important goal for us is to change how Diversity & Inclusion looks in GRC
We want to empower individuals from underrepresented backgrounds to thrive and progress in their roles within the industry. We do this by:
01
Encouraging our members to promote their backgrounds and differences in the workplace.
02
Provide visibility and accessibility to senior leaders from diverse backgrounds within the GRC field
03
Bring more awareness to the GRC industry to those from underrepresented groups
